I know pheromones are mostly a myth, but if ever a piece of clothing could come close, it’d be this brown faux suede Renoir shirt-jacket from Robert Barakett. It’s in that in between where it’s light enough to wear like a shirt but still feels like a jacket (shacket is the nickname for this garment). Every time I’ve worn it in NYC, people notice, like they actually stare. It’s the same reaction I had when I first saw it at the thrift store. Retail price hangs around $300 but I got it for about $22, which still doesn’t feel real. Definitely a lucky find.
